Just a few months ago I was gearing up to post weekly comics, but this semester turned out to be the busiest yet in my history of teaching.  For those of you who don’t know me, I teach some Comics and Illustration classes at Memphis College of Art.  I was busy with a host of administrative responsibilities that don’t normally fall into my lap.  I also applied and was accepted to a low-residency graduate program at California College of the Arts.  Beginning this summer, I’ll spend the month of July in San Francisco getting 4 classes and 12 credit hours knocked out.  I’ll return to the comfort of my home in Memphis to begin my thesis project for the fall and spring semesters.  I follow up with a second July session next summer, a final fall and spring semester of more long-distance thesis work, and lastly, I’ll finish up with a third and final July in the summer of 2015.  The good news is that I’ll be earning my MFA in COMICS (!) and the GREAT news is that it looks like my thesis project will be my Seahorse webcomic!!!  Awesome, right?!  I’m really excited about continuing my education, and also about resuming work on this comic.

I’m continuing to develop the story and characters, and I’m trying to knock out as many page layouts as possible.  I can present the project to my instructors and classmates in July and get some fresh feedback before finalizing the art, and then begin posting at the start of this fall 2013 semester!

So…stay tuned.  Again.

Big Hugs,
